An Escape
Freedom looks like a bird.
-- Madrigold Pucci
Ordinary people of the world, I invite you to accompany me on a madcap escape from the furthest limits of my and your (our) own minds and imaginations . . . and beyond!
On Thursday 28 June 2007, I will be gagged, bound by hand and feet and forced bodily into the workings of a trumpet. The trumpet will be locked in a safe to which there is no combination. The safe will be immersed in a cauldron of simmering chops. The cauldron itself will be suspended above Kepstock City Park where passers by will be encouraged to behold it.
One week later, I will emerge to stroll the streets of Kepstock, unbound, fat upon chops and proficient to at least Grade 4 in the piccolo trumpet.
This is my promise.
... Or I will die, tied up inside a trumpet, in a safe submerged within a cauldron of chops. Only God and sweet, wily Mr. Future know my fate, but it will be one hell of a wild ride, my friends! Oh yes, my friends, one hell of a wild ride! Why not see it? Join me!
