The reading room of the Kusadasi public library
A Lebanese sailor first discovered the rulebook propping up a table leg in the reading room of the Kusadasi public library close to the section on erotic photography.
He began a Turkish Chess club the next day, arranging weekly meetings in the basement of an abandoned toy shop. Within one year, all its members were dead.
Two months later, the son of a poor toymaker returned from overseas to reclaim his inheritance and the second club began.
The book is now the property of the Sweetheart Club.
